Part of the "Age and Youth" series: [link] [link]

What does society do to the character of the girl? Who decides when the girl becomes a woman?
How can the inner world of two seemingly similar girls be a 180° different? Who is young, who is old? Can they ever live up to the expectations?

I love the colourful lights you use in "Age and Youth" series. Creates a kind of chaotic atmosphere, which goes well with the amount of questions the message of these pictures give. Working with mirrors can be sometimes hard, they mess up the lightning and when you finally find a good point of view, the mirror shows something you don't want to shoot (or then I'm just still too amateurish). The relatively small size of the mirror forces you to take a close-up, but I would have used a larger mirror and used a more distant point of view. I don't know if the close-up tries to symbolize some meaning of the picture (which would make it therefore necessary), but I got a little claustrophobic. Maybe that's what you want, and in that you succeeded.

The general idea is smart yet deviant, which I personally like. I won't go to details in the field of psychology and philosophy, since I think that side should be left to viewers individually (everyone see pictures differently, in the end). I'll just mention that the photograph did stop me for a second and me think.

And btw, the way the women's hairs flow on the mirror... brilliant and beautiful.
