Promotional for "Titus Andronicus".
This is one of the pictures I wanted to keep secret until the exhibition. Unfortunately, we had a cast change so I need to re-shoot this scene. The good side: I can finally show you more of what's coming up in December.
The composition of this piece is quite chaotic to enforce the cinematic feeling of action, movement, celerity.
Please view all pieces of the series.
Rape scene from Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare.
Actors: Philipp & Georg Blume as Chiron & Demetrius, Sophie Prusa as Lavinia
Very nice. I think the comparison with the hunted deer suits this picture nicely as well. The men look really bestial. In my humble opinion though, the photo could use some more contrast. Might be my monitor. I do like the movement a lot.
Yeah, VERY kinetic shot, some frantic energy going on here. My only thing is, and this is just me, the men look like they're smiling a bit much. Could be from pure evil, or enjoying the parts, I guess, but their expression is just a shade, and I do mean a SHADE, on the having fun side. Probably just me, though.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
