"Speechless on a snowy rehearsal day"
Pretty spontanious picture from a rehearsal today. We basically tried the "special effects" for the first time, our make up artist Brigitte came up with a pretty disturbing stump that was provisionally put on for rehearsal but will be professionally attached for the performance. I think Sophie enjoyed herself a lot during this rehearsal. And yes, Titus Andronicus is a truely gory play.
Not sure yet, if we're actually going to use this kind of make up. Do I want people to run out on the loo during that scene. I guess the answer to that can only be yes... but obscurity doesn't automatically involve a lot of blood.
Brigitte did a great job here, though. Esp. seeing the stump on a longer distance (which will be the case during the perfomance) is very, very naturalistic.
