Deviation Actions
Welcome to the Feature Marathon. I will feature works of ONE gallery/category about 3 times a week - picking the best examples of the various genres.
Now to the best part:
My favourite deviation from the particular journal-feature will receive a Daily Deviation during the following weeks, which should make the whole thing very enthralling for everyone whose work lands in my journal. Enjoy.
CITYSCAPES & SKYLINES
Similar to Architecture, though the entire skyline of a city or urban area is the subject, rather than a single structure being the subject. Alternatively, similar to landscapes and waterscapes, though the primary emphasis of the photo is on man-made elements.
You will find that the most impressive shots are taken in extraordinary weather situations or the Golden Hour.

This weekend I will feature Photojournalism > MILITARY, please suggest your favourite works (by other artists and yourself) as a reply to this news entry. Please provide links, not thumbs.

Looking for Holga Photographers for Magazine Publ
Hi fellow deviants,
In our next issue we'll do an article about the Holga. Our editor in chief tested the camera, but we're not very happy with the results just yet. As there are loads of Holga photographers here on deviantART, I was wondering if any of you would like to contribute with their own art. There will be no payment, but we'll credit you with name and you'd have a printed publication in a lifestyle magazine.
If you're interested send me a note asap, we'd like to finish the page by today. Please get in touch with your email address and a link to the work you'd like to show.
Thanks,
Sandra :)
A tribute to dA
The amount of journals I've written last year isn't even a hand full.
It's funny.
I've just, out of boredom because I had the flu last week, come back to dA. And I discover the groups system, which I'm absolutely fond of. I joined dA more than 5 years ago, when I was still a photography student and not even sure if I ever wanted to be a photographer.
Now I'm a professional - something that didn't have to happen - I'm responsible for a big magazine and don't hardly ever think about online photo-communities anymore. However, I return to dA from time to time, upload stuff and read the comments. Why? I think the main reason is nostalgia. I've
Bikini Marks - please help
Hey guys,
I need to retouch some images quickly and I've stumbled across a huuuge problem (that's probably not that huge anymore, once I know how to solve it).
How the hell do I best remove bikini tan marks?
I tried with the stamp tool, but it looks spotty and bad. It tried with burn, which looks better, but I guess I'd have to select the areas... and that's tricky because the marks don't have a sharp edge. Any tricks you'd like to share?
Help much appreciated.
THANKS!!
Bad Journals.
This is one too. I know I do a horrible job. http://staged.deviantart.com/journal/poll/651457/
But I'll try my best to make them more interesting.
You do like links to cool things, right?
Here you go: http://www.seblester.co.uk/ - for the type-obsessed of you.
